Our youngest builders step into the hard hat of an architect! Campers explore structural integrity by building towers and bridges, while developing practical life skills through the safe use of real-world tools.

Dive into the science of H₂O! We investigate fluid dynamics, test buoyancy, and explore water flow through sensorial play — pouring, measuring volume, and learning how water shapes our world while staying cool.

Dayton Summer Camp is led by Saritha Vellore, founder and director of Milestones Montessori of Dayton — a 5-star rated, WMBE-certified school serving families throughout South Brunswick and central NJ.

With a background in AMI Montessori education and a deep love for child development, Saritha designed every camp week to be a genuine learning adventure. Her philosophy: when children are given freedom within structure, real curiosity — and real joy — blossoms naturally.

How much does camp cost? +
The standard rate is $400 per week. We also offer three special discounts valid until May 31st: the 10-Week Special (all 10 weeks for $350/week, saving $500), the Sibling Discount (enroll a second child for $350/week), and the Bring a Friend deal (both you and your friend get $50 off per week, bringing it to $350/week each). All camp materials, supplies, and daily snacks are included — no hidden fees!
What ages is Dayton Summer Camp for? +
Our summer camp is open to children ages 2.5 to 13 years old — from toddlers all the way through middle school. Campers are grouped by age so every activity is developmentally appropriate and engaging, whether your child is 2.5 or 13.
Can I enroll for just one week? +
Absolutely! Each of our 10 themed weeks is completely self-contained and stands on its own. You can enroll for any combination — one week, a few weeks, or the entire summer. There's no requirement to commit to the full 10 weeks.
What are the camp hours? +
Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
What is included in camp enrollment? +
All camp materials, supplies, and daily snacks are included. Families do not need to bring anything other than a labeled water bottle and a change of clothes (for messy activity weeks!). Some special themed weeks include celebration lunches.
Is this camp Montessori-style? +
Yes! Dayton Summer Camp is rooted in Montessori principles — hands-on learning, child-led exploration, mixed-age collaboration, and screen-free discovery. All activities are guided by AMI-trained educators who adapt each themed week to the developmental needs and interests of the children enrolled.
Where is the camp located? +
Camp takes place at Milestones Montessori of Dayton — 364 Georges Rd, Dayton, NJ 08810. We have beautiful indoor classrooms and a fully equipped outdoor playground and sandbox area. We're conveniently located in South Brunswick Township, easily accessible from surrounding communities.
How do I register? +

My child doesn't attend Milestones Montessori — can they still join camp? +
Of course! Dayton Summer Camp is open to all children ages 2.5–13, whether or not they are currently enrolled at Milestones Montessori. Many summer camp families discover our school for the first time through the camp — and some decide to enroll for the full academic year!
